Day 1 – Arrival & Tambopata River Sunset Wildlife Cruise

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, your guide welcomes you and coordinates a short, scenic 30-minute road transfer that follows the Tambopata River toward the lodge, passing jungle vegetation and small riverside settlements.

Tambopata River Sunset Tour – Board a motorized canoe to navigate along the Tambopata River as the forest softens into golden light. Scan the shores for herons, kingfishers, flycatchers and other river birds, while macaws sometimes cross the sky in pairs.

Day 2 – Tambopata National Reserve: Lake Sandoval & Night Walk

Board a paddle canoe to explore Lake Sandoval—a calm, dark-water oxbow lake that shelters endangered giant river otters. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest.
