Inkaterra Canopy Itinerary: Explore the Amazon from the Treetops
- 6:00 AM – Depart from Puerto Maldonado to begin the journey.
- Pickup from your accommodation in Puerto Maldonado, followed by a transfer to the river port.
- Enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Tambopata River, with opportunities to spot capybaras, caimans, and colorful kingfishers along the riverbanks.
- Arrive at the Canopy Inkaterra site, where your guide will provide a safety briefing before the ascent.
- 7:30 AM – Begin the Canopy Walkway experience. Step onto a series of hanging bridges suspended between towering trees and explore various viewing platforms, each offering a unique panoramic perspective of the Amazon rainforest.
- 8:00 AM – Wildlife Observation & Birdwatching. Spend approximately two hours observing wildlife, using binoculars and a telescope provided by your guide.

- Toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, tanagers, dacnis, fruitcrows, and cotingas—birds rarely seen from the forest floor.
- Howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and sloths high in the treetops.

This elevated perspective offers unmatched views of the jungle, impossible to appreciate from below. - 10:00 AM – Return to Puerto Maldonado
