Pick up and transfer to the office in Puerto Maldonado.

Drive along the Interoceanica highway to the lodge, located one hour from Puerto Maldonado, next to the Tambopata River.

Lunch at the lodge.

Introduction to the forest walk, description of the Amazon ecosystems, and explanation of the plants and trees along the way.

Observation of the sunset from the observation tower, bird watching.

Night walk to listen to the sounds of the forest and observe insects, spiders, frogs, tree snakes and other nocturnal creatures.

Dinner at the lodge

Overnight at Monte Amazónico lodge.

We begin our journey on the Tambopata River, where we will watch a majestic sunrise from the boat.

We enter the heart of the reserve until we reach 8 gallinas macaw clay lick in the Chuncho sector.

We get ready to observe one of the most vivid spectacles that nature has to offer.

Macaws, parrots and parakeets perch in the treetops, ready to descend and feed on the clay of the Tambopata River cliffs.

We enjoy a picnic breakfast on the riverbank.

We continue our exploration in search of wildlife along the river.

We head to the second macaw clay lick at Chuncho, looking for a second chance to observe the colorful birds feeding on the clay.

In addition, the Tambopata Reserve is the only known place where large predators have been sighted, such as jaguars hunting capybaras along the river banks.

We will return to the lodge for lunch.

We finish our return to Puerto Maldonado and coordinate the transfer to the airport or bus terminal.
